As a locally owned, woman-owned healthcare practice, this recognition is especially meaningful to us.

From a Vision to a Local Business

Serenity Health & Body was created with a simple goal: to provide a place where patients could receive personalized, whole-body care in a comfortable and welcoming environment.

Dr. Sara Riegel-Kesner, DC, MS, opened Serenity Health & Body in May 2025 after more than seven years in chiropractic practice. Her vision was to create something beyond a traditional chiropractic office—a space where different approaches to health, wellness, recovery, and self-care could come together under one roof.

Today, Serenity Health & Body offers chiropractic care, acupuncture, massage therapy, INDIBA® therapy, Shockwave therapy, esthetic services, wellness coaching, and additional wellness services to individuals and families throughout Bradley, Bourbonnais, Kankakee County, and the surrounding communities.

Being a Woman in Business

Owning a business comes with plenty of challenges, but it also creates incredible opportunities to make an impact.

For Dr. Sara, Serenity represents the opportunity to combine her passion for healthcare with entrepreneurship while creating a practice centered around the needs of the community.

As a business owner, healthcare provider, wife, and mom, finding balance isn't always easy. But building Serenity has also shown just how much can happen when you have a vision, work hard, surround yourself with a great team, and have the support of an amazing community.

Being recognized alongside other women who are building businesses and making a difference throughout Kankakee County makes this feature even more special.

Serenity Health & Body would not be where it is today without our patients, team members, fellow local businesses, friends, family, and community partners who have supported us from the beginning.

We are also grateful to the Kankakee County Chamber of Commerce for highlighting women-owned and women-led businesses in our area and for giving local businesses opportunities to connect, grow, and become more involved in the community.

As Serenity continues to grow, we look forward to expanding our services, developing new community partnerships, participating in more local events, and continuing to find new ways to help our patients feel and function their best.
